Daniel Kimerling is the Founder and Managing Partner of Deciens Capital, a high-conviction venture firm investing in companies reshaping financial services. He leads the firm's early-stage investment strategy, with portfolio companies including Chipper, SimplyWise, and Treasury Prime.
Before Deciens, Dan co-founded Standard Treasury, an early pioneer in API-driven banking infrastructure. Backed by Y Combinator, Andreessen Horowitz, and Index Ventures, the company was named one of American Banker's "Ten Technology Companies to Watch" and SWIFT's "Global Innovator of the Year" before its acquisition by Silicon Valley Bank, where Dan went on to lead API Banking, Open Platform, and Global Research.
A Kauffman Fellow and Forbes "30 Under 30" honoree, Dan holds an A.B. and A.M. from the University of Chicago. He is based in Albuquerque, N.M.
